When you create a profile, subscribe, or use our services, we collect:

Because ActiveFun features a dedicated youth activity directory, parents may add sub-profiles for their children.
Data Collected: First name/nickname, age, gender, and specific athletic interests or skill levels.
Verifiable Parental Consent: Under Article 8 of the GDPR and Dutch law, processing data of children under the age of 16 requires explicit parental consent. By creating a child profile within your parental dashboard, you provide this verifiable consent.
Visibility Control: Child profiles are highly restricted. They are shared exclusively with verified activity organizers or coaches when you explicitly book a session, tryout, or membership. They are strictly hidden from public search engines and unauthorized platform visitors.
When buying or selling sports gear within our local network:
We collect listing details, product descriptions, images, and localized transaction communication.
To protect users from fraudulent actors or unauthorized access, marketplace messages are routed through our internal messaging system, masking your private email address and telephone number.
We utilize your personal data to power a safe, hyper-local ecosystem:
Service Delivery: Processing bookings, managing calendars, and displaying relevant local directories.

To Verified Activity Providers: When you register a child for a sport, club, or coaching clinic, the organizer receives the necessary profile details (e.g., name, age, parents' contact) to manage safety and attendance.
To Technical Service Providers: We share data with reliable processors essential to our architecture (e.g., our secure European hosting provider Hostiso, automated email dispatchers, and mobile app framework infrastructure).
For Legal Reasons: If required by European law or valid legal processes from Dutch authorities to prevent fraud or protect community safety.
ActiveFun serves an international community. All primary data storage and core processing occur within the European Economic Area (EEA). If a third-party service provider requires data routing outside the EEA, we enforce strict Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission to ensure your data maintains a consistent, high standard of protection.
We do not retain data longer than necessary for the purposes it was collected:
Account Profiles: Retained for the duration of your active membership. If you delete your account, your data is scrubbed or completely anonymized within 30 days.
